Joanne McNamara
Head of Europe ​ @Oxford Properties
Joanne has over 10 years’ experience working on direct asset, corporate acquisitions and financings across multi sectors, jurisdictions and countries – UK, France and Germany – within the real estate market, including completing in excess of £7bn of transactions for Oxford. Joanne currently leads Oxford’s European investment team and function and is responsible for developing and implementing Oxford’s European investment strategy of building AUM to over C$18bn by 2022 with a focus on prime office, high street retail, residential and logistic assets in London, Paris and Germany. Joanne oversees all transaction activity in Europe, as well as managing Oxford’s relationships with a range of 3 rd party capital partners across the European business. Joanne is also responsible for implementing the European credit strategy, working closely with Oxford’s team in the US. Since 2010, Oxford executed over C8$bn of acquisitions, JVs and dispositions in Europe, growing AUM to approximately C$9bn.
Alexandra Notay
Director, BTR Fund @PfP Capital
Alexandra Notay is Build to Rent fund director at PfP Capital, the fund and asset management arm of Places for People Group, overseeing a UK-wide residential strategy. She is an internationally recognised expert on build to rent, placemaking and sustainable urban development, with 15 years’ strategic advisory experience to private sector, government and third sector organisations across four continents. Alex is a published author and editor of over 30 books and reports on real estate including the renowned ULI UK Best Practice Guide on Build to Rent (2014, 2016). Alex is a vice-chair of the ULI UK Residential Council and serves on the BPF Build to Rent Committee and is an Associate Member of CREFC Europe. She is also a non-executive director of Essensys plc, Sound Diplomacy, SouthWest Board Member for LandAid and trustee of the SunScreenIT Foundation.
Alison Abbey
Director @Eastdil Secured
Alison Abbey is Director at Eastdil Secured focusing on pan-European logistics transactions, and has been at the heart of some of the world’s largest real estate deals over the past few years. Alison has almost 20 years of logistics real estate investment experience, including 14 years working across Europe. Eastdil advised Blackstone in its €12.5B sale of Logicor to CIC in 2017. In this capacity, she played an integral role in one of the largest private real estate M&A deals on record. In recent years, Alison has managed and advised on large-scale logistics transactions totaling more than €25B, ranging from multi-jurisdiction portfolios and platform trades to large single-asset deals. Before joining Eastdil in early 2016, she was vice president of transactions for Prologis. Alison recently launched Ladies in Logistics, a women’s networking initiative to foster relationships amongst women across the sector as well as support the rising of women in logistics real estate.
