Al Pace
CEO & Co-Founder, Pacific Urban Residential
Mr. Pace is co-founder and President of Pacific Urban Residential (formerly Pacific Property Company), a subsidiary of Marcus & Millichap Companies. He is a graduate of the University of San Francisco and a Certified Public Accountant (inactive). His early career began with the ‘Big 4’ accounting firm of KPMG where his client base included banks, savings & loans, state municipalities and companies within the oil & gas sector. An interest in computers and database technology led to the 1983 founding of CMR Search, among the earliest firms to develop and utilize human resource software databases. Al spent fourteen years with multifamily pension fund advisor SSR Realty Advisors (now BlackRock) and its predecessor configurations (Fox, Metric, etc) culminating in the position of Managing Director, National Acquisitions.
Steve O'Connell
CEO, Grosvenor Americas
Steve provides the strategic direction for Grosvenor Americas’ investment, development and financing activities. Steve O'Connell was appointed to the Grosvenor Americas Board in 2018 after joining in 2011. He became Chief Executive of Grosvenor Americas in 2019. Steve led Grosvenor’s Development team in San Francisco and successfully established its multifamily program there before being appointed Managing Director, Investment in 2015 where he oversaw Investment and Co-Investment activities in North America. He holds a B.Eng. degree from McGill University and an MBA from the UC Berkeley - Haas School of Business. Steve is an Executive Committee and Board member of UC Berkeley’s Fisher Center Policy Advisory Board, a member of the Bay Area Council Board of Directors and belongs to an Urban Land Institute (ULI) National Mixed-Use Development Council.
David McCullough
Principal, McCullough Landscape Architecture
A graduate of Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo, David formed McCullough Landscape Architecture as a sole proprietorship in 1999 while consulting for another firm. After wife and partner, Catherine joined the business in 2001 and became Chief Executive Officer and President in 2002; the firm became a woman-owned corporation and a certified Small Business by the State of California. With offices in San Diego and the Bay Area, McCullough creates spaces for hospitality, retail, mixed-use and institutional properties around the world. As principal landscape architect, David oversees all aspects of the design and production of firm projects at McCullough. He serves as head designer on all projects and maintains quality control on all work completed. Previous projects have earned awards and recognition in several national publications.
